Journal Submission Process

IAFOR Journals conform to the highest academic standards of international peer review. The peer-review process which leads to publication can be broadly summarised into ten steps which are listed below.

Login to My IAFOR or Create an Account
Your email address will be used as your username and you will be asked to ​create a password. Please be aware that the information you enter when creating your account will be used for all official communication about your submission, so please ensure correct spelling of names, affiliated institutions, and so forth. Preferably use your institution email as sometimes Gmail, Yahoo, etc can be filtered and/or not recognised.

Confirmation Email
After creating an account, please check your email inbox for something from "iafor.org". If you can not find a confirmation email in your normal inbox, it is worth checking in your spam or junk mail folders as many programs filter out emails this way. If it did end up in one of these folders, please add the address to your acceptable senders' folder by whatever method your email program can do this.

Submit to an IAFOR Journal
Submit your article using the template provided. Articles should be submitted in Microsoft Word format.
Contributors are expected to submit the initial draft of their paper in the IAFOR Journal house style which is APA (the American Psychological Association), for details see Purdue Owl.

Receive a Confirmation
After submission, you will receive an automatic confirmation that your submission has been received.

Initial Screening
Your submission will be reviewed by the editorial staff to ensure it conforms to accepted academic norms, and to screen out incomplete or non-compliant submissions.

Editor Review
Your submission will receive a review by the Editor for a decision as to whether to send the paper to peer review.

Peer Review
Your submission will be blind reviewed by a minimum of two reviewers who will make recommendations to the editor. This part of the process can take 4-6 weeks.

Result Notification
A result notification will be sent to you generally within eight weeks of submission.
